As a Jamaican native, Pash grew up surrounded by delicate materials, draping everyone in their own way. Inspired by the different elements that come together to make a garment, Vivienne began sewing pieces for her life-sized doll. Taking motivation from this, she decided to begin creating her own personalized collection. After fashion school, New York became home for the creation of her line. “I brought my designs to life because they deserved to be seen,” Pash explained.
Right she was; her line has become a conversation starter. What sets Vivienne Pash apart from other designers is that she does not follow any trends and creates her own classic sets of garments for today’s fashion. Inspired by style icons like Twiggy and Tilda Swinton, the feel she exerts from her clothing is of a fashion risk-taker. Her designs are bold, simple and dynamic.
Meant to stand-out, the first official collection launched is heavy on black and white with some coral, grey and nude accents sprinkled around each corner. The dresses, skirts, tops and pantsuits are classy punk with a full-on retro vibe. Classic-cool, Breakfast at Tiffany’s anyone? Stepping out in the fan-favorite being the polka dot pantsuit with a midi tie belt would sure make a mother proud.
