From 1978-1991, America’s most celebrated Television villain was J.R. Ewing from the evening-soap opera, Dallas. Dallas was known for it’s lust filled story lines and the incredible opulence of it’s oil baron, J.R. played by Larry Hagman. Dallas was awe-inspiring television. It’s legend has been so enduring that a revival of the show was made by TNT. The noted actor responsible for bringing J.R. to life, has passed away. The star died Friday, after complications from his battle with throat cancer. The actor had survived a bout with  Liver Cancer and cirrhosis of his liver, after decades of drinking. Despite numerous other roles, Hagman will eternally be known for the Cowboy Hat wearing, bad boy who cheated on his wife with reckless abandon and usually got the better of his business compeition.
